UV-RESISTANT DECORATIVE COVERINGS

Easy installation of decorative claddings reduces the costs of construction and design work and shortens production time for complex architectural shapes due to its extraordinary flexibility. However, once the decorative cladding is glued, it becomes rigid and solid.

This makes them an ideal solution for rounded parts of facades (as seen in the picture above), retaining walls, cladding for round columns, outdoor fences, retaining stone structures…

After surface preparation, the decorative claddings are glued just like ceramics, using flexible ceramic adhesive.

For outdoor gluing on the facade, the adhesive must be of class S2 and suitable for outdoor use.

Apply the adhesive (just like for ceramics) to the wall where you will place the cladding, and also apply a thin layer of adhesive to the back of the decorative cladding to fill the recesses of the reinforcement mesh on the back of the panel. Then press the piece of cladding onto the wall (press with a flat surface such as a trowel or a grout float with a sponge underneath, do not press with your hands).

You also need to make sure to clean the adhesive off the panels as you go (if it gets on the visible surface anywhere) before the adhesive hardens.

Since our decorative claddings are very lightweight (only ~ 4.3 - 7 kg/m²) and come in customized dimensions for easy handling, installation is so simple that you can do it yourself, and our technical department is available for advice during the installation.

Compared to natural stone, whose installation process is much more demanding (partly due to its heavy weight), our decorative claddings do not need to be anchored, but are simply pressed into the adhesive.

Compared to real stone facades, our decorative claddings also cool down the walls significantly less during winter times.
